You are nothing but a retarded butcher. Us gardeners love the wildlife that surrounds us and we don't go round murdering it. Get back to the hilly billy retard page. You're sick man. Who in Gods name wants dead animals in their home. You people are beyond belief !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:This is just not a good category for this question - gardeners do not hunt and skin things, typically. You should try "sports-general" under the "sports" category - there should be some hunters there. Of try "hobbies" because there is no connection between taxidermy and gardening, especially not enough for someone to give out their personal email, eh?

You can also contact your local college biology department or your local museum of natural history - I skinned some small animals helping research student with their study mounts. All I can remember now is that you basically open them up from below, use sawdust to control the blood, and simply slip them out of their little pajamas. These were study pieces, so they were not pretty when completed, the hard part is cutting loose the paws and areas like around the nose, eyes, mouth and ears. Also many animals have "scent sacks" around their hind ends and you want to learn where those are because cutting those can be messy. Also our mounts were not managed for odor or feel - so if you want to tan the fur, that is a speciality as well and you cannot leave the paws inside a larger animal. I think we used wires to fill the little tails once we had the tail bones removed - but I am not sure, this was all long, long ago - try the museum or the biology program.
Reply:HEY FRECK---sounds like you really want to learn how to do this,,,since you have asked several times---go to the library,,check out you some books on taxidermy,,,there's not enough room on these question answer pages to tell you exactly what you are doing wrong,,,or need to do,,,a good book will have pictures and step by step instructions,,,also check around and see if there is a taxidermy school close to you,,,,,,hey if you got things to mount,,i hope you froze them,,that s first thing to do if you cant mount it right away,,,slit the stomach and remove the guts,,first,,,wrap it in freezer paper,,you don't want it to git freezer burnt,,,HEY,,,this might not be the right page,,but a certain person,,might want to know,,there are gardeners that hunt,,and fish,,one reason we do this is because we like the out doors,,, so in my opinion ,,, this is just as good as any where else,,,,,so don't pay the girl no mind and ask your question any where you want to,,,HEY,,, there has to be some one close to you that is interested in the same thing,,,ask around locally,,maybe put a sign up at the grocery store ---or other places on their bulletin board,,,asking for information,,HEY keep it up bud,,dont give up you ll learn eventually
