I imagine sending out fewer pieces of encrypted (OpenPGP) email gives potential spies fewer samples to work with in trying to decrypt. But encrypting all email could "hide" the important email in the midst of a ton of banal everyday email. Any thoughts? What if we extend the idea - if lots of people on the net are sending encrypted email, is any given individual's privacy more secure because of it?

Your thoughts are nice and I agree with you. If we all encrypt our data then privacy would increase.
Unfortunately not all people want to learn how to encrypt/decrypt. Even when then learned that most of the information travels on plain text. Like this answer.
For me, I stopped using PGP as nobody wanted to decrypt my emails. So I only use TrueCrypt for my own files, on my computers.

How does spam email actually make money for the spammer?
We all get spam in our inboxes and it is a daily occurance. I am intruigued in how do the spammers actually make money from these emails.
Most of mine gets blocked/side-lined with a spam filter but some does get through to me.
If I don't click on these (like a lot of people I know) then how do these spammers actually make decent money to make it worth their while?
How does spam email actually make money for the spammer?
The reality is that they don't make money unless you do click a link and visit their promoted website to make a purchase.
Many internet marketers and some conduct an honest business, they are good people, will purchase a list of qualified leads from a reputable company. These folks got on a list because the raised their hand and said "Yes, I would like to know more"
Not all spam is canned. The average response rate is about 2-4%, so the "spammer" is hoping to get some responses and they usually do.

Hilite what you want copied by dragging your arrow over it while holding down the left click of your mouse...Go to EDIT above and click on COPY.
then go to where you wanted it pasted...place the cursor(flashing up and down line) in that area...go above to EDIT again and click on PASTE...THAT SHOULD DO IT
Step by step.
There are many ways to do it...This is what I have the most success with..
RIGHT clicking on those items usually pops up a box and gives you the option of where to send it...I send it to the DESKTOP. You will get an icon for it, which you can delete by right clicking on it after you are done.
Go to your email and compose the message. Click on ATTACH located just under you subject line. At least five lines will pop up with the word BROWSE on each one of them. click on BROWSE and when the box comes up place DESKTOP in the upper box. Everything on your desktop will be displayed, which should include those that you sent there. Click on the first one you want and it shud go to the bottom box. When you click on OPEN that should move it to the message you are composing and it will be in the first BROWSER box. Click on ATTACH and that should start the download to attach it to your message. Repeat for anything else you want to attach. Be careful not to download to much ( varies with each recipient) could be anywhere between 5MB and 20MB. good luck

Everything on your desktop will be displayed, which should include those that you sent there. Click on the first one you want and it shud go to the bottom box. When you click on OPEN that should move it to the message you are composing and it will be in the first BROWSER box. Click on ATTACH and that should start the download to attach it to your message. Repeat for anything else you want to attach. Be careful not to download to much ( varies with each recipient) could be anywhere between 5MB and 20MB. good luck

You don't really stop it. They haven't hacked your account. It's just a trick used by spammers to get your attention, so that you will open the emails and possibly buy their service or product. It hasn't hurt your account, nor has your account been compromised in anyway. Unfortunately you can report these emails as spam as you'd be blocking your own address. All you can do is delete the emails. They will stop eventually... until some other spammer does it. They are annoying, but harmless.

You don't really stop it. They haven't hacked your account. It's just a trick used by spammers to get your attention, so that you will open the emails and possibly buy their service or product. It hasn't hurt your account, nor has your account been compromised in anyway. Unfortunately you can report these emails as spam as you'd be blocking your own address. All you can do is delete the emails. They will stop eventually... until some other spammer does it. They are annoying, but harmless.

I cannot find an email address anywhere on the microsoft website. I want to report a possible scam. I keep recieving emails advising they are from microsoft %26amp; i have won a sweepstake of 拢97,000 and it also asked for all my personal details including bank details, obviously i have not replied to this but id like to report it. The email also gives 2 email addresses to send the details to %26amp; one of them is a yahoo address.

You don't change how your emails prints. If you're printing an email, you just select to print it... it prints the page(s).

How can you tell if content in a forwarded email has been edited?
I have been forwarded an email trail containing a conversation between two people - one of the parties involved states that they didn't write some of the content. Is there a way for me to check if the email has been changed or added to?

There is no way to check if the e-mail has been tampered with, unless the people involved used a certificate. I sent someone a 'certified' (encrypted), mail once which was opened by the IT mail administrator (before reaching it's intended recipient). It turned up as gobldygook in the end, which means a third party had interfered with it.
So it is possible to detect altered mail, but not unless your mail has been certified. You can get a free certificate here....

I just received a hateful rant from an ill informed questioner (seems she didn't like my answer although it was researched and correct). It included slurs as to my race, social standing and intelligence (most of it misspelled of course). She doesn't allow email contact in her profile. Who else thinks that Yahoo should allow rebuttals to emails sent from these cowards?

What are the answers to the Freecycle Inital Questions email when you try to start a freecycle group?
There aren't any exact right questions - you'll be in conversation with a New Group Approver. They will probably ask if you are a member of any local group, and why you think there will be a need for a new one.
Then the NGA will ask the local groups what they know - do you follow the basic rules, etc.
It is a really good idea to have a co moderator, too, to share the work - and it might show you are thinking of those things.

I seem to babble or over explain things in email so I'm trying to practice keeping it simple and to the point. Is there a certain format I could follow. Also, what is a good way to sign out. Should I just stick with Sincerely. I've seen so many different closings late. I just saw one recently that ended with Thanking you, I am. I thought that was weird. Thanks for your help.

Of try "hobbies" because there is no connection between taxidermy and gardening, especially not enough for someone to give out their personal email, eh?
You can also contact your local college biology department or your local museum of natural history - I skinned some small animals helping research student with their study mounts. All I can remember now is that you basically open them up from below, use sawdust to control the blood, and simply slip them out of their little pajamas. These were study pieces, so they were not pretty when completed, the hard part is cutting loose the paws and areas like around the nose, eyes, mouth and ears. Also many animals have "scent sacks" around their hind ends and you want to learn where those are because cutting those can be messy. Also our mounts were not managed for odor or feel - so if you want to tan the fur, that is a speciality as well and you cannot leave the paws inside a larger animal. I think we used wires to fill the little tails once we had the tail bones removed - but I am not sure, this was all long, long ago - try the museum or the biology program.

If you do not hear from your potential employer within 2 weeks, send them a regular old fashioned letter (type written, preferably). In the letter, tell them you are updating your resume. Ask them for an appointment for an interview. Before you arrive, have an idea of how much pay you expect. They usually want to know that. If it is too high, they won't hire you. If it's too low, they'll probably think you are naive. Pick a middle range pay scale. Better yet, find out what they DO pay. Dress neatly without looking like you just got off a dirt bike or something. If you are a woman, don't wear ultra feminine outfits. Don't wear low cleavage blouses or too much makeup and don't overpower yourself with perfume. Some people are allergic to perfume. If you have tatoos, cover them up. Good luck.

I assume you are in the USA? I am a teacher in Australia and have tried this here: Several methods worked for me, mabe they will for your too.
1 Through Official Channels
Introduce yourself to the education authority in the areas you want to do business. Pester their public relations officer for an interview and come equiipped with references to: Substatiate your good character (police clearances etc to prove you are not a criminal.) and references to confirm the value of your product/service to the teachers AND the students (target both here).
Remember all you are after is the authorities approval - you won't get it but conversely, their failure to stop you approaching teachers, amounts to an endorsement by default. What you are after is being able to approach Principals and say honestly that the Authorities are aware of your actions. (Kind of a default reference)
If you are extremely lucky, and sufficiently impress the Education Authority's representative, they can supply you with a list of facilities that fit your market, so be specific what type of schools etc. you want access to.If they don't - don't panic - read on . . .
2. Professional Development
This is a totally different marketing strategy - you want access to teachers proffessional development meetings. This will come through the Principal personally and you will address a staff meeting. To win this one you need to use the "Snowball Effect" - you win one Principal over, then after you have addressed that meeting you use that as a reference for approaching the next principal. Now your credibility has increased 100% - repeat the whole process again. After each seminar/meeting, ask the Principal if he would "have any objections if you used him as a reference". The wording there is vital - you want a "Yes" from someone who cant get through the workload they have now - so you don't want them to feel they have to do anything extra, that you'll do the work and all they have to do is say yes.
After a dozen or so successes, the professional grapevine will market your seminars if they truely are value for money.

I assume you are in the USA? I am a teacher in Australia and have tried this here: Several methods worked for me, mabe they will for your too.
1 Through Official Channels
Introduce yourself to the education authority in the areas you want to do business. Pester their public relations officer for an interview and come equiipped with references to: Substatiate your good character (police clearances etc to prove you are not a criminal.) and references to confirm the value of your product/service to the teachers AND the students (target both here).
Remember all you are after is the authorities approval - you won't get it but conversely, their failure to stop you approaching teachers, amounts to an endorsement by default. What you are after is being able to approach Principals and say honestly that the Authorities are aware of your actions. (Kind of a default reference)
If you are extremely lucky, and sufficiently impress the Education Authority's representative, they can supply you with a list of facilities that fit your market, so be specific what type of schools etc. you want access to.If they don't - don't panic - read on . . .
2. Professional Development
This is a totally different marketing strategy - you want access to teachers proffessional development meetings. This will come through the Principal personally and you will address a staff meeting. To win this one you need to use the "Snowball Effect" - you win one Principal over, then after you have addressed that meeting you use that as a reference for approaching the next principal. Now your credibility has increased 100% - repeat the whole process again. After each seminar/meeting, ask the Principal if he would "have any objections if you used him as a reference". The wording there is vital - you want a "Yes" from someone who cant get through the workload they have now - so you don't want them to feel they have to do anything extra, that you'll do the work and all they have to do is say yes.
After a dozen or so successes, the professional grapevine will market your seminars if they truely are value for money.

When I email a cover letter and a resume do I put them on the same Doc file or separate doc files?
I been sending them as separate files attached to an email.

There's no "right" answer, but I personally prefer seperate. I am usually not interested in a cover letter, I want to see the resume. If the resume looks to be a good fit, then I often (but not always) read the cover letter.
I've been in recruiting and HR for a dozen years, and most of my colleagues do not read cover letters either. That's not to say all, but I would say the majority are not interested.
Also, keeping the different copy makes it easier for you to customize your cover letter for each individual position - which is something you should always do in cover letters.

I'm sending out a mass email to all my clients. I have added all the clients in my contact list. I would like my logo to appear on top of the email just like a letterhead but I can get it to appear. ORANGE MUSTARD GLAZED CHICKEN
1/4 cup orange marmalade
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup country-style Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed to measure
1 tablespoon Gravy Master
1 chicken (2 1/2 to 3 pounds) quartered or 4 chicken breasts
In a small bowl, combine marmalade, orange juice, mustard, sugar and Gravy Master. Grill chicken pieces 4 to 6 inches from hot glowing coals for 15 minutes, turning frequently. Brush with orange-mustard glaze and continue grilling for 15 minutes longer, brushing frequently with glaze. Remove from grill and serve immediately. Serve remaining sauce separately. Makes 4 servings
LOBSTER NEWBURG
4 tbsp. butter
Meat of 1 (2-3 lb.) boiled lobster
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
Salt, paprika, slight grating of nutmeg
1/2 c. cream
2 egg yolks
2 tbsp. sherry
Melt half the butter and cook lobster in it for three minutes. Remove lobster, add remaining butter and blend flour smoothly with it. Scald and add milk and bring again to boiling point, stirring constantly. Add seasonings and lobster. Cook five minutes, beat and add cream, egg yolks, and sherry. Cook 2 minutes without boiling. Yield: 4 portions.
SHRIMP NEWBURG:
Proceed as directed for Lobster Newburg, substituting 2 cups crabmeat for the lobster.

50g butter
200ml cream
25ml cr猫me fra卯che
4 tomatoes 鈥?skinned, seeded and diced
1 cucumber 鈥?skinned, seeded and diced
Lemon juice
Extra virgin olive oil
Method for the Pur茅e
Place the fennel and butter over a low heat. Cover with a lid and cook gently without colouring until soft.
Add the cream and reduce by half. Season and process in a blender until smooth.
At the last minute add the herbs and cr猫me fra卯che. Adjust the seasoning. Keep warm
Meanwhile pan fry the salmon in a little olive oil until crisp 鈥?about 4 minutes. Finish with lemon juice.
