What email accounts tell you that the person has read the email you sent?

I think that AOL has an account that tells you when the person whom you have sent an email to has read it by sending a confirmation back. I don't have AOL. I want to know what other free accounts have this read or confirmed read. I currently have msn and yahoo.

What email accounts tell you that the person has read the email you sent?
You can't use read receipts with most web based email accounts.

You can use a third party read notify web site, but you will have to pay for the service. Here's one..

Reply:Every email account does, it's called read receipts

Edit : oops, being a noob for a second there ;)

Hiya, I'm sorry, I was thinking about using offline readers eg outlook or thunderbird, where you can ask for a rcpt every time, but apparently yahoo, msn and gmail all ignore rcpt requests even if you send them

check here for a workaround:

Sorry if thats not ideal but the image one (first one) should work fine and not be too annoying
