I received an email invitation to join the International Society of Photographers. Is it worthwhile?

They claim to invite only select people based on their photographs. The fact that it cost $60 for a year makes me think it's mostly an attempt to get my money.

This is a company that preys on unsuspecting people who are looking to be published. They offer a book that contains your photo in addition to others for a price and it's far from professional. I've heard of people intentionally sending in photos of very poor quality, just to test them, to find that they have been chosen to be published in this book because of artistic something or other.





They do invite only select people to join...anyone who will. Please save your money. They are only there to milk unsuspecting people out of their hard earned money. Just do a search on their company name and you will see what I'm saying. I believe they also run another scam under the name International Society of Poets.
